The visitors staying within the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone should:

Strictly meet the requirements of an accompanying person regarding observance of the Radiation Safety Rules, the Basic Sanitary Rules, and the Physical Protection Rules;

Know how to use primary and secondary personal protection equipment, use clothes and shoes covering the body, hands and legs to the maximum;

Meet the requirements of the danger and prohibition signs and posters relating to radiation safety;

Observe the approved program and route;

Keep radiation cleanliness in the common areas, should not put the things on the ground and should not eat outdoor;

Make use of drinking water only from water supply system of Chornobyl town or imported water in the manufacturer’s packs;

Observe the rules of personal hygiene.

During stay within the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone, the visitors are not allowed the following:

Bring any kind of weapon;

Drink alcohol and make use of narcotic substances;

Eat and smoke outdoor;

Put the photo and video equipment on the ground;

Export outside the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone any items originated from these zones;

Export outside the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone vegetable and animal products (vegetables, fruits, berries, mushrooms, plants, fish and other food stuff cultivated (produced) within the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone), except the samples for scientific purposes based on a special permit;

Export from or import to the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone the animals (dogs, cats, etc.);

Break a dress code (open toe shoes, shorts, short skirts);

Stay within the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone without an accompanying person;

Leave the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone with additional (secondary) personal protection equipment;

Attend the dining hall in dirty clothes and shoes;

Drink water from wells, rivers and other ground sources;

Swim, get a sun-tan, catch fish, hunt, pick fruits, vegetables, berries, mushrooms and any other forest products;

Eat fruits, mushrooms, berries, meat of wild animals, birds, fish and other food products cultivated within the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone.

All instructions of an accompanying person must be followed.

It is prohibited to take photos and videos of the physical security system components.

When leaving the Exclusion Zone and the Unconditional (Compulsory) Evacuation Zone, it is required to:

Pass the compulsory radiation monitoring of clothes, shoes and personal things;

Pass the compulsory radiation monitoring of vehicles.

If any contamination of clothes, shoes, personal things exceeds the established control levels, they will be decontaminated.

The acceptable exposure dose is up to 0.1 mSv per day that not exceeding the dose limit for public.
